Here’s a video I summed up…this isn’t just about the “theory” of how to lower blood pressure – it’s about 3 really simple ways of applying it…monitor your blood pressure readings after 2 – 4 weeks of using them…hope you’ll be pleasantly surprised!Read More
I don’t think any of us are foreign to the side effects of drugs, but even if we know that, why do we take drugs instead of implementing natural remedies?
In some cases, you can’t really deny the necessity of drugs.
Someone’s suffering from a heart attack, an intercardiac injection is necessary.
But with something like what we’re discussing here, with blood pressure, it’s better to gain a good understanding of things like low blood pressure symptoms, and low blood pressure treatment, and on the high blood pressure side, natural ways to lower blood pressure, before opting straight out for meds.
Here’s how I think of it: if you hold back 30 days just doing a bit of research on the topic of low/high blood pressure, I can guarantee that you’ll find multiple alternative cures superior to taking...Read More
I recently came across a really valuable resource that I think you’ll really enjoy: the official DASH diet complete plan by NIH.
You can download it here.
Upon further inspection, you might find some superficial semblances between it and the one we have provided previously – spot on…again, most of it originates from the NIH!
In any case, it’s very, very detailed, and builds upon what we’ve already talked about (well, most of it did originate from NIH anyway), so I greatly encourage you to study it in detail.
I’m going to go on a rant today.
I’m currently doing a bit of research to look for stories and to structure my articles so they might be helpful.
And I come across this article: “100 Easy Tricks to Lose Weight”, where the site says, to quote verbatim, “…to try these strategies to reduce the risk of heart disease.”
It says “to try these strategies to reduce the risk of heart disease“.
And the article it links to refers to “100 SIMPLE ways to blah blah blah”, I can’t be bothered to read on.
This is the type of reason behind the Internet’s sullied reputation.
I HATE this type of post when I search for information online, where they make it sound like the dust to lose weight – 100 SIMPLE ways, they say…BULL.
If it was so easy, then why are people still struggling to los...Read More
Last week, we talked about the general principles behind this meal plan guide.
We briefly touched on the simple three step system to come up with a meal plan. You might need a bit of time over the weekend (3 hours over Saturday and Sunday) to plan for a month’s worth of meals, but it’s well worth the time when you see a DASH Diet, literally, stand in front of you.
So, as promised, we’ve provided the meal plan guide and meal plan template here, please feel free to use these as starting points.
Here are the download links:
Last week was all about the specific food categories that make up the DASH Diet.
However, you might have had a few lingering questions:
1. What’s a serving? (Note: This can vary between diets.)
2. What are my calories needs?
3. What servings of each category correspond to my calories needs?
Apart from these issues, we address the specifics of what we talked about last time, and there are many more solid examples in this guidelines document on each category, as well as things you should be aware of, as specified in the footers.
Please do take the time to read this document carefully, as we’ll use this as a basis to prepare for next week’s video.
